BCC, SCC, MCC win matches

JAMMU, July 24: Brahum Cricket Club (BCC), Surender Cricket Club (SCC) and Milan Cricket Club (MCC) won their respective matches played today at KC Sports Club in 1st KPL Pink Cricket Tournament.
The day’s first match was played between Brahum Cricket Club (BCC) and Gopinath Cricket Club (GCC). Batting first, GCC scored 94 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Kamal Pandita scored 31 runs in 34 balls while Rakesh Kher also made 13 runs in 14 balls. For BCC, both Rajat Safaya and Mohil Koul took two wickets each.
In reply, BCC easily chased the target in 11.1 overs by losing only two wickets and thus won the match by 8 wickets. Mohil Koul made unbeaten 52 runs in 33 balls while Aman Zutshi scored 30 runs in 21 balls. For GCC, both Rahul Raina and Sunil Pandita picked up one wicket each. Mohil Koul was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
The second match was played between Surender Cricket Club (SCC) and Rajiv Sameer Cricket Club (RSCC). Batting first, SCC set a target of 136 runs for the opponent by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Suman scored 36 runs in 32 balls whereas Deepak made 35 runs in 27 balls. For RSCC, Sanjay bowled tightly and took 4 important wickets by conceding 22 runs in his 4-over spell while Ravi Turkey also scalped 2 wickets.
In reply, RSCC failed to chase the target and bundled out on 129 runs. Thus, RSCC lost the match to SCC by 7 runs. Naman made 37 runs in 29 balls whereas Sushil scored 26 runs in 14 balls. For SCC, Deepak took 4 wickets by giving 29 runs while Rajesh scalped 2 wickets by conceding 14 runs. Deepak was adjudged as man of the match for his impressive performance with the ball as well as bat.
The third match of the day was played between Milan Cricket Club (MCC) and Bharat Cricket Club (BCC). Batting first, MCC scored 132 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. The highest scorers for MCC were Rakesh Zutshi and Raju with 40 and 36 runs, respectively. For BCC, Sanjay took two wickets while Romil also claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, BCC failed to chase the target and bundled out on 104 runs. Thus, MCC won the match by 28 runs. Bobby made 25 runs in 27 balls while Manish scored 22 runs in 27 balls. For MCC, Rakesh Zutshi took 3 wickets by conceding 18 runs whereas Vimal picked up 2 wickets. Rakesh Zutshi, who took 3 important wickets and made 18 runs for his team, was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as umpires while Rehan Rana acted as scorer. The tournament is being organized by Krish Sports & Event.
