BCC thrashes WCC by 125 runs in inaugural tie

JAMMU, Mar 30: Bhadrore Cricket Club defeated Whites Cricket Club by a huge margin of 125 runs in the inaugural match of the Navratra Cup 2014 T20 Cricket Tournament at Bhadrore Cricket ground, Ghou Manasan Road, here today.
Batting first, Bhadrore scored a decent total of 175 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Jatin Wadhawn top scored with 44 runs, while Sonu scored 41 and Bravo 23 runs. For WCC, Latif Khan and Sunil took 2 wickets each, while Vinod and Anil claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, WCC bundled out for a paltry total of 50 runs in 12.3 overs, thus lost the match by 125 runs. Skipper Ripu was the only batsman to cross double figures, scoring 14 runs. Vishu Salaria was the wrecker-in-chief for Bhadrore Club, scalping 5 important wickets, while Bupinder bagged 2 wickets and Vishal and Raju claimed one wicket each. Vishu Salaria was declared man of the match.
In another match, BBCC defeated Spartan Club by 56 runs.
Batting first, BBCC scored 154 runs, while in reply, Spartan Club managed to score 98 runs in 19 overs to lose the match by 56 runs. Amit top scored for BBCC with 42 runs.
The matches were officiated by Rajinder Singh and Shubam as umpires and Satish was the scorer, while the Tournament is being organized by Ashish and Jitender.
