BCCI appoints Majid Dar to look cricket developments in Kashmir

JAMMU, June 16: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appointed Kashmir based cricketer, Majid Dar to look after the developments of cricket in Kashmir division and will directly report to the three member’s sub-committee which was framed by the higher body of cricket today.
The three members committee comprising veteran cricketer Mithun Manhas, BJP leader Brigadier (retd) Anil Gupta and Sunil Sethi (BJP spokesperson) to look after JKCA affairs in the J&K UT.
According to BCCI statement, the sub-committee shall at all times work under the supervision and the control of the Committee consisting of BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly, secretary, Jay Shah, treasurer Arun Dhumal and vice-president Rajeev Shukla.
The mandate of the sub-committee to look into day to day functioning of JKCA and shall at all time work under the supervision and control of the BCCI committee.
It is pertinent to mention here that the committee was formed after the Jammu and Kashmir High Court order dated April 23 in which the Court directed the BCCI to take up the cricketing affairs of the JKCA due to mismanagement in the functioning led by Court Appointed Administration (CAA).
