JAMMU, Aug 10: Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi, Jammu today celebrated 82nd birthday of Dogra Rattan, Babu Parmanand, former Governor of Haryana, J&K Finance Minister and speaker of J&K Legislative Assembly, at its headquarter in Roop Nagar as ‘Equality and Brotherhood Day’.
The people from all walks of life including VIPs, Ex-MLAs and MLCs besides retired Government employees participated in the function and threw light on the life and achievements of Babu Parmanand. They highlighted the work done by Babu Parmanand for the downtrodden and poor sections of the society.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were Ex-Minister, Ram Pal, Ex-MLCs, Jugal Mahajan and Kashmira Singh, Ex-MLA, Piyara Singh, SSP Rajesh Sharma and SSP Salinder Singh.
