JAMMU, Aug 20: In a meeting here today All J&K Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union has expressed concern over the incident wherein a Lineman was critically injured after suffering electric shock while performing duty at Narwal area.
Speaking in the meeting Vijay Gupta, Union Chairman said after the accident, injured Lineman Som Dutt was immediately shifted to Government Medical College Hospital from where he was referred to Ludhiana for advance treatment.
The Union appealed to the Governor to provide all the medical assistance to the injured Lineman and bear all expenses for his treatment as he was injured while performing the duties.
The Union also demanded probe into the incident.
Surinder Kumar, Anil Singh, Pawan Kumar, Kartar Nath, Tara Chand, Kewal Krishan and Mangar Ram were also present in the meeting.
