Bengal’s renowned artist Dr Tarun visits Natrang Jammu

JAMMU, Mar 10: Internationally acclaimed artist, Dr Tarun K. Pardhan of the Drama Department of Rabindra Bharti University Kolkata (Bengal) visited Natrang here today and interacted with the entire team of Natrang actors and directors.
Welcoming the famous personality in Natrang Theatre Studios,  Director Natrang, Balwant Thakur informed that Dr Tarun is one of the most active theatre practitioner/trainer of the country who travels throughout the country and abroad with his highly creative productions which are based on rich folk and  performing traditions of West Bengal.
He is the proud presenter and designer of Festivals of India in China, South Africa, Russia, Jordan, Iraq, Sharjah, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
Dr. Tarun Pardhan complemented the enthused team of Natrang artists which is preparing to feature Balwant Thakur’s landmark Dogri play ‘Ghumayee’ in Theatre Olympics this month at Varanasi. He also shared his experience with the artists of Natrang which included Anil Tickoo, Sumeet Sharma, Vikrant Sharma, Subash Jamwal, Rahul Singh, Gauri Thakur, Mohd. Yaseen, Ankush Lakhnotra, Vanshika Gupta, Meenakshi Bhagat, Abhi Bargotra, Simran Jaral, Vrinda Sharma, Bhisham Gupta and Shivam Singh.
Dr. Tarun K. Pardhan is a highly creative person whose original encouragement to pursue his interest in the arts came from his parents, later he was greatly inspired by the Bratachari Movement initiated by Gurusaday Dutt, ICS.
He is the founder director of Sarabhuj and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Theatre, Rabindra Bharti University. His recent theatre productions include Mitul Name Pitulti, Dakghar, Jadur Tuli, Jothor Juddha and Fagun Raher Goppo and more.
