JAMMU, Feb 19: Bethal Church Jammu registered emphatic win over St. Paul Church via super over to seal berth in the semifinals of the ongoing 3rd Inter Church Cricket Championship at Alexander Memorial School Ground, here.
The Tournament is being organized by Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu under the supervision of Fr. Kuriakose, President Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and Rajesh Gill President Christian Sports Organization Jammu whereas the conduct committee of the championship includes Edwin Khokher, William Mattoo, Johnson Gill, Asif Gill, David Mattoo, Griffan Gill, Sunny Gill, Amit, Asif Paul Gill and Mithu.
Batting first, St Paul Church Jammu scored 152 runs in the allotted 12 overs by losing 9 wickets. Ravi Manchanda top scored with 46 runs, while Monty contributed 41 runs and Monu chipped in with 14 runs. Sahil took 4 wickets, Ajay bagged 2 wickets while Nathaniel, Sunil and Max claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Bethel Churchalso managed to score 152 runs by losing 7 wickets, thus match ended in tie.
Nikhil 30, Munna 20, Sahil 19 and Perry 17 runs were the main scorers. Ravi took 3 wickets, while Sunil scalped 2 and Monty claimed one wicket.
In a super over batting first Bethal Church scored 22 runs with Nikhil 12 and Munna 10 and in reply St Paul Church managed to score 18 runs thus lost the match by 4 runs.
Sahil was declared as the man of the match for his all-round performance.
The match was officiated by Mithu, Asif Gill and Amit Athwal.
