BFDC reviews arrangements for Navratras

JAMMU, Oct 4: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) today held its urgent meeting with the officers of Governments Departments at Bawe Wali Mata Temple and reviewed arrangements for forthcoming Navratra festival.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Baldev Raj Nargotra, Chairman, BFDC and President Rajeev Charak.
The meeting was attended by Government officials from various departments including SDPO East Rafiq Manhas from J&K Police Department, DySP Security Aarti Badyal, DySP Traffic Khaliq Choudhary, JE PHE Rajinder Singh, Floriculture Officer Bharat Bushan Sharma, SHO Bagh-e-Bahu RS Rakwal, Sadha Anand from Fire and Emergency Services Department, Civil Defence Jammu Head Constable Ram Dayal Saini, PP Incharge Mandir Sohal Lal, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Charak urged Police Department for 24×7 hours monitoring to avoid any disturbance during holy festival. Charak also urged Municipal Department for sanitation and cleanliness situation for the betterment of yatris and local surroundings. He briefed them that the toilets were already made inside the fort, but all are not in running condition, so he urged department to make them run as early possible because the festival is going to start within few days. He urged for proper cleaning of water tanks inside the temple premises for healthy health.
Charak briefed Traffic Department to control traffic and ensure smooth running of vehicles and also urged the Fire Department to depute fire control teams and fire brigades.
He urged PHE for regular water supply, PDD for 24 hours electricity, PWD for widening of road, Security Department and all other departments to complete their work and ensure to fulfill their bit of responsibility.
Ishant Gupta, spokesman, BFDC urged CMO to ensure proper medical facilities, ambulance and first aid facility during Navratra festival.
Baldev Raj Nargotra while speaking highlighted the role of BFDC volunteers who work 24 hours during Navratras to provide all type of assistance to yatris.
The meeting was also attended by General Secretary BFDC Raghav Mahajan, Vice Presidents BFDC Krishan Lal Sharma, Hardesh Khokher, Sourabh Sethi, Shatrujeet Singh, Eshant Mahajan, Captain Moti Lal, Ashwani Sharma, Ankush Khajuria, Rahul Sharma, etc.
