JAMMU, Apr 28: Bharatiya Gujjar Mahasabha (BGM) has expressed serious concern over repeated utterances of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed regarding Sayeed Salahuddin during the ongoing Parliamentary elections in the State maintaining that Salahuddin is a symbol of terrorism and destruction.
In a statement, State president, BGM and PDP youth leader Eshfaq-Ur-Rehman Poswal said that by mentioning Sayed Salahuddin, the party patron is not conveying any positive message to the people.
Poswal said that he joined PDP with a hope that the party would talk of development, welfare of youth, chalk out policies for removing unemployment, eradicating corruption, providing good governance and redressal to the demands of Gujjar and Bakerwal community.
He said that issues like political reservation, creation of Ministry of Tribal Affairs and recruitment of youth in belt forces would always remain the priorities of the BGM.
