JAMMU, Apr 6: Men as well as the women Volleyball teams of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri secured 3rd place in the ongoing 1st State University Sports Championship 2017, being hosted by University of Jammu, here.
The teams of different games from all the Universities and Institutes of the State are participating in the Championship.
In Volleyball matches, the score was 3-0 in both men as well as women sections.
BGSBU men’s Volleyball team got better of SKUAST Kashmir by (25-12, 25-13, 25-21) in the one-sided affair.
Similarly in women’s section, the BGSBU women team defeated the team from SMVDU by 3-0 sets again in a one-sided match.
Prof. Javed Musarrat Vice Chancellor BGSBU congratulated the winning teams and appreciated the hard work put in by the players and their coaches. The selection and training of all the teams participating in the Championship was done under the guidance of Mohammad Din, Deputy Director Sports BGSBU.
Dr. Javid Iqbal coached the BGSBU men’s Volleyball team, while Ankita was the coach of the women team.
