Bhaderwah wrestling meet concludes

BHADERWAH, July 30: Bhaderwah Valley Indian Style Wrestling Championship, organized by Youth Action Committee Bhaderwah in collaboration with Indian Army concluded at Govt Higher Secondary School boys, here.
50 wrestlers from various Tehsils and Akharas of Jammu region and outside the States participated in the Championship in seven weight categories of 50 Kg, 55 Kg, 61 Kg, 67Kg, 75 Kg, 85 Kg and 96 Kg and up to 120 Kg.
The winners were presented with medals and certificates along with cash prize by the office bearers of the Youth Action Committee (YAC). Female wrestlers from Haryana and Delhi also participated in the championship.
Naseer Mehboob Padder president YAC advocated for promotion of wrestling in nooks and corners of the State, while Rohit Sharma, Mohan Singh Baloria, Abdul Haq and Sajid Sarmadi and other organizers were present on the occasion.
