Bhadrore Club, SCC script resounding wins to advance

4th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament

AKHNOOR, June 21: Bhadrore Cricket Club, Jammu and Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor scripted emphatic victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing 4th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Higher Secondary School ground, here today.
Earlier, in the first match Bhadrore Club thrashed Baba Club easily by huge margin of 152 runs.
Deciding to bat first after winning the toss, Bhadrore Club posted a huge total of 206 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Karan smashed 25-ball 50 runs, while Bunty scored 47 off 29 balls and Kaka contributed 32 off 18 balls. For Baba Club, Kundan scalped 3 wickets, while Sunny and Vicky took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Baba Club suffered a big collapse and the whole team bundled out for a paltry total of 54 in 14.1 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 152 runs. Sumit and Appu contributed 11 each. Kaka was the wrecker-in-chief for Bhadrore Club, who took 4 wickets, while Vishu and Bunty shared 2 wickets each. Kaka of Bhadrore Club was adjudged man of the match for his all-round show.
Meanwhile, in another match, Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor drubbed Thathi Knight Riders by 9 wickets in a low scoring game.
Batting first, Thathi KR crumbled at 99 runs in 19.4 overs. Veenu (28), Bunty (16) and Ajeet (11) were the main contributors. For Singh Club, Vikram Singh was the pick of the bowlers, who captured 4 important wickets, while Gurdeep Singh bagged 2 wickets. Surinder Singh, Sham Singh and Deepak Singh claimed 1 wicket apiece.
Singh Club chased the target in just 7 overs by losing only one wicket, thus won the match easily by 9 wickets. Sumit Rajput slammed 18-ball half-century (50), with the help of 9 boundaries and 2 sixes, while Sunny Kumar contributed 28 runs off 15 balls, which included 6 fours. For Thathi Knight Riders, Sandeep took the only wicket to fell. Vikram Singh was declared man of the match for his fabulous bowling display.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali, Surinder Singh and Vinod Kumar, while the tournament is being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, under the supervision of its Chairman, Sham Singh Langeh.
