JAMMU, Dec 24: Bhagat Mahasabha held a meeting under the chairmanship of its national vice president Bodh Raj Bhagat at Akhnoor and appealed the Chief Minister for providing necessary compensation to the bereaved family of brutally murdered boy Sahil Bhagat Khandwal and also order inquiry into this barbaric incident.
In the meeting Mahinder Bhagat, State president disclosed that Nirwan Diwas of Sant Kabir ji Maharaj will be celebrated at Village Dhariyal, Marh in the month of February and appealed the Bhagat samaj to participate in large numbers.
On the occasion, all the members unanimously elected block level body of Akhnoor. Yashpal was elected as president, whereas Ramesh Lal Bhagat as general secretary.
Among others present were Sansar Bhagat, Ramesh Bhagat, KK Bhagat, Sardari lal, Tarsam Bhagat, Jagan Nath, Madan lal, Swarn lal, Chaman lal, Kala Ram Bhagat, Jankar Bhagat and Ram Lal Bhagat.
