JAMMU, June 15: The annual Mahayagya of Bhagawaan Gopinathji was performed across the country and other parts of globe today with religious fervor and gaiety.
Hundreds of devotees thronged the Bhagawaanji’s Ashram at Udaiwala, Bohri today to pay obeisance to this great saint of Kashmir and participated in Maha Yagya to seek blessings.
The Mahayagya started yesterday evening and it culminated with Puranahuti this afternoon. This was followed with serving of Prashad to devotees drawn from different parts of Jammu region.
There was a beeline of devotees in the Ashram from early in the morning who were waiting in long queues for darshan and pay obeisance to the lotus feet of Bhagawaanji.
Elaborate arrangements were made by the Trust for smooth and successful conduct of the annual Mahayagya . A large number of devotees including young and old rendered self-less services at various counters viz distribution of Prasad , shoe counter, fruit refreshment , lemon water service etc on the occasion.
Hassle free movement of devotees was ensured at the ashram premises. Bhajan and Kirtan continued for the whole day in the Ashram. The Samohik evening Aarti marked the culmination of the days proceedings.
Despite extreme heat, it was gratifying to watch devotees participating in the activities in a spirit of true devotion to the master.
The authorities had also made elaborate arrangements for the devotees and the function passed peacefully.
As per a Ashram handout, the Mahayagya was performed at various other Ashrams at Kharyar, Srinagar, Kashmir, Pamposh Enclave, New Delhi, Vikaspuri, West Delhi, Pune ,Bangaluru, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Chembur, Kandivilli Mumbai, Vaishali Ghaziabad and Satsang Mandals spread across the country .
