JAMMU, Dec 8: Bhagwat Singh Club Punjab registered a thrilling victory over Shine Football Club by three goals to nil (3-0) in the ongoing 1st Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Football Gold Cup Tournament, being played at Parade ground, here.
After the tie in the stipulated time, the match was decided by penalty kicks wherein Bhagwat Singh Club emerged winner by three goals to two (3-2).
In today’s match the chief guest was Ch.Lal Singh, Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, while the guests of honour included Sunil Sharma, Minister of State for Transport and Youth Services and Sports, Ajay Nanda, MoS Finance, Sukhnandan Chowdhry, former Minister and Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President State BJP.
The special Invitees on the occasion were Tahir Chowdhry, State Convenor Human Rights Commission, Sohail Kazmi, Sr.Journalist, Pradeep Sharma, President Shalimar Traders Association and Arun Sharma, Co-Convenor.
MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta, who is the Chairman of the Tournament Organizing Committee along with Rakesh Khanna ,President/ Organisor and Naresh Dogra were also present on the occasion.
The chief guest and the guests of honour were also introduced with the teams before the start of the play.
