JAMMU, May 21: Narendra Kumar Bhandari, Chairman Dam Safety Review Panel Govt of Gujarat and Senior Consultant of various Mega Hydro-Electric projects presented Online Guest Lecture, conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), here today.
The topic of the Online Guest Lecture was ‘Unit Hydrograph’ for the students of 6th Semester..
Bhandari is the alumni of IIT Roorkee. He was welcomed by Er Rajnish Magotra, Head Department of Civil Engineering.
While starting the session, Bhandari explained in detail about ‘Unit Hydrograph’.
The questions he explained were as to how one can measure the direct runoff with respect to time, Principal of Unit Hydrograph and storm water data collection.
“Unit Hydrograph is suitable for Sub- catchment area,” he said.
The session, which was conducted on Zoom platform, was very fruitful and interactive, in which over 60 students and faculty members took part.
The session ended with vote of thanks presented by Er Kamal Kishore, Assistant Professor Civil Engineering Department.
