JAMMU, Dec 7: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) J&K Prant here today organized ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ quiz competition.
Prof. Vishwa Murti Sharma, Padamshree Awardee was chief guest on this occasion and Dr. (Prof.) Lalit Magotra, president Dogri Sanstha, Jammu was guest of honour.
Sushil Sharma, Regional president, BVP (North-1) was Regional Observer of the Quiz Competition.
Shiv Ram Sharma, Prant general secretary welcomed the participants and dignitaries.
About 15 teams from various the branches of BVP participated in senior category and 15 teams in junior category.
Gopal Gupta, Prantiya Sanskar Pramukh narrated rules and regulations of the competition.
In junior category, students of Dogra Higher Secondary School, Jammu bagged 1st prize whereas ASN Hr Secondary School got 2nd prize and St. Xavier Convent School settled at 3rd Prize.
In senior category, DBN School, Mubarak Mandi bagged 1st prize whereas Maharaja Hari Singh School, Akhnoor bagged 2nd and Maharishi Vidhya Mandir School, Sainik Colony stood 3rd.
The result was announced by Arun Sharma, National Committee Member NGSC.
The teams which stood 1st will be participating at Regional Level Competition to be held in Ferozepur (Pb) on December 15.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Dr. Santosh Gupta (Prantiya Patron), Arun Sharma, Amita Sharma, Sunita Gupta, Ashok Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Prof. B.B Sharma, Ved Parkash Sharma, Ritesh Kapoor, Vijay Arora, Gurmeet Singh, Devender Mahajan, Seema Sharma and others.
All the participants were given mementoes and certificates.
