SAMBA, Aug 21: Bhargava Public School Samba held a programme with great zeal in the school premises. The event was graced by Dr. Anil Chandan, Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO) of Samba & Jammu range, who served as the chief guest. The ceremony was also attended by the Chairman, Principal, staff, and students of the school.
The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Chandan, alongside the Chairman and Principal, symbolizing the start of a new leadership journey for the student council. The students showcased a vibrant cultural performance, which was appreciated by everyone present.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of badges and sashes to the newly elected School Council. Dhananjay Bhargav and Divya Chib were appointed as Head Boy and Head Girl, respectively, with Bhawani Sharma and Surbhi serving as their deputies. Dr. Chandan encouraged the students to maintain discipline, work hard, and stay focused on their studies, warning them about the dangers of drug abuse.
Chairman Rajesh Sharma emphasized the importance of education in shaping well-rounded, civilized individuals. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest for his presence and inspiring words. The event was a memorable milestone in the school’s calendar.
