SAMBA, Feb 22: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) through Centre of Excellence Chandigarh conducted a one day capacity building programme on ‘Art-Integration’ at Bhargava Public School Samba and 55 faculty members drawn from different schools of Jammu and Samba participated in it.
Renu Gupta and Meena Kumari were Resource Persons for the programme.
After lighting the ceremonial lamp, Saraswati Vandana dance was performed by school students.
Renu Gupta and Meena Kumari through activities and slides kept the faculty members engaged throughout the session.
Art-integration has been incorporated by CBSE in the curriculum and in National Education Policy (NEP 2020) it is also mentioned there and given importance.
Resource Persons explained how to integrate arts with different subjects whether it is Performing Arts, Visual Arts or Culinary Arts.
Chairman of Bhargava Group of Institutions, Rajesh Sharma extended gratitude to Centre of Excellence, Resource Persons and all the faculty members for the successful event.
Principal of the School Subhash Kumar Baldotra thanked the faculty members and Head of Institutions of Army Public Schools Samba, Miran Sahib, Jammu Cantt, Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu Carmel Convent School and others for making the workshop cum training successful.
