Bhawani Nagar residents’ concern over water scarcity, power crisis

JAMMU, May 11: A meeting of Welfare Committee Bhawani Nagar Janipur was held today under the chairmanship of Behari Lal Sharma its president in which the problems being faced by the residents of the area were discussed in detail.
The members expressed grave concern over drinking water scarcity and very low voltage of electricity in the area.
The meeting in an appeal to PHE and PDD authorities urged them to ensure adequate supply of drinking water and installation of transformer/ cable wires in B and A sectors, so that the inhabitants of the colony heave a sigh of relief in this hot Summer.
The matter was also brought in the notice of MAL Jammu West Sat Sharma during his tour to the colony last time but no action was taken so far.
The members however complimented Minister of Forests Ch Lal Singh for taking initiative in development of Bhawani Nagar Environmental Park during his recent visit to Park.
Those who attended the meeting included N S A Dutta, Nagarmal Chargotra, Vijay Singh Jasrotia, Ashok Sen, L R Manhas, Des Raj Choudhary, Rohit Arora, Chander Mohan Mehta, Ajay Raina and Virender Raina.
