Bhim calls on PM

NEW DELHI, Nov 5: J&K National Panthers Party chief patron and member National Integration Council,  Prof Bhim Singh called on the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and urged him to convene an urgent conference of the representatives of all political parties of J&K so that a consensus is evolved to seek a durable and honest resolution of the existing intra-provincial conflicts within the state to end all kind of decades old discrimination with the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions.
Prof Singh also urged the PM to sanction a special package of Rs 5000 cr for the development of international tourism in Jammu Pradesh as it has highly impressive virgin areas in all the districts like-Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Kathua, Poonch, (Mahore) Reasi and Rajouri.
The Prime Minister assured the NPP chief  that he shall given a due thought to the proposals made by the Panthers Party.
Prof Singh also advocated with the Prime Minister for the delimitation of assembly constituencies in J&K  to end discrimination with the  Jammu region, provide political reservation to the STs in J&K and rotate the reserved constituencies in the State.
The Prime Minister assured the NPP leader that he shall give a due thought to the proposals made by Panthers Party.
