Bhim Singh accuses Modi of ignoring Jammuites

JAMMU, Mar 30: Panthers Party leader Prof Bhim Singh today alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his election speech at Akhnoor, disappointed border people who have been facing bullets and mortar firings from Pakistan now and then and often getting uprooted from their home and hearths.
“Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ignored sufferings of displaced families from PoJK, West Pakistani Refugees, Jammu hilly migrant families languishing in depilated, make shift sheds at Talwara and unemployed youth of Jammu Pradesh who always carry national flag on their shoulders. He did not even make mention of brave soldiers from all districts of the State more so of Dogra families, but repeatedly asked for confirmation from the audience in the public meeting at Akhnoor to punish those who don’t fall in line with his political philosophy,” Bhim Singh said while addressing a press conference, here today.
Bhim Singh further charged BJP leadership in general and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in particular about violation of Model Code of Conduct in holding a political public meeting at Dhoomi, Akhnoor on March 28 at the cost of poor farmers whose standing crops in 75 Kanals were bulldozed by the administration to make space to construct a security proof platform.
“Over 300 motor vehicles were used to ferry public from all remote villages of Jammu Province for show of strength in favour of BJP contesting candidate Jugal Kishore Sharma. Total cost comes around Rs 80 lakh which were spent by State Government for BJP election campaign,” he alleged.
Bhim Singh alleged that the State administration, both Civil and Police was acting hostile and denied all security protection cover to JKNPP candidates in Jammu as well as in Kashmir.
P K Ganju, Anita Thakur, Balwan Singh, Ashfaq Rana, Partap Singh and Mohinder Singh were also present in the press conference.
