UDHAMPUR, Jan 30: A motorcyclist was killed while his pillion rider sustained critical injuries when their motorcycle met with an accident in Majalta area of Udhampur district today.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Singh, son of Dhian Singh, resident of Kummi, in Mansar Tehsil of district Samba, while the injured, identified as Yudhveer Singh, son of Jagdish Singh of Dhemma, in Tehsil Majalta, was admitted to PHC Majalta, where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu.
The accident took place at Charni Pahari when the Motorcycle, bearing registration number JK02CM-6136, went out of control of the rider and it went off the road and hit the closed shop on road side.
Locals shifted the injured persons to PHC Majalta where doctors declared Sandeep Singh as brought dead. Majalta police registered the case FIR No. 11/2023 U/S 279/337/304-A IPC and started investigation.
