Billawar police arrests 2 for online fraud; recovers laptop, 7 mobiles

KATHUA; Mar 19: Kathua police has apprehended two individuals in connection with FIR No 37/2024 U/S 420/417/IPC at Police Station Billawar pertaining to online fraud.
Police said a complaint was received at PS Billawar regarding online fraud of Rs. 677,000/- by two unknown persons who used to create fake identities and duped a cash  amounting to Lakhs of rupees. Upon receiving the information, a case FIR No. 37/2024 U/S 420/417/IPC has been registered at PS Billawar.
During the investigation, the police team led by SHO PS Billawar Inspector.
Jatinder Singh under the guidance of SDPO Billawar put hectic efforts by using technical assistance and arrests were made following a thorough investigation and recovered one Laptop along with seven Cell Phones, from their possession.
These accused have been identified as 1. Parsanna Iyer son of Radha Krishnan Iyer, residing at B-K Station Road, Maratha Section, Adarshnagar, Ulhasnagar 421004, District Thane, Maharashtra, Mumbai, and Dipin Sarkar, son of Ram Dass, residing at 3_3 Sudhamachal, Vishalnagar, Chinchpada, Kalyan East 42306, district Thane, Maharashtra while further investigation is underway.
