JAMMU, July 4: The delay in renovation work by the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council has left the Billiards & Snooker Hall at MA Stadium in pathetic condition.
The rainy water has damaged the walls, the roof and in particular the table and has left the players and the officials in the lurch.
According to the reliable sources, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council has already sanctioned the amount to renovate this facility, however, the renovation work is being delayed for some unknown reasons.
The Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association is aiming at holding District and State Championships in the month of August and September at this venue, but the condition of this facility, has left the organizers in a fix as to which dates to choose for holding the event.
Sources said that the organizers have already applied for holding the prestigious events at the venue and floated letters to the custodians of the facility for renovating it at an earliest.
The Sports Council needs to initiate the renovation work at the Billiards and Snooker Hall immediately to help the players and the organizers make better use of this valuable facility.
