JAMMU, Apr 9: Ace paddler, Bilquis Mir has been nominated national coach to represent India in 9th Asian canoe slalom Championship and Canoe Slalom Asian Continental Qualifier for Rio Olympics 2016, to be held at Toyama in Japan from April 17 to April 24, 2016 as coach.
She has the reputation of being the most competent national coach in women Kayaking and Canoeing internationally.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in 3rd National Canoe Slalom and Canoe Polo Championship, J&K team coached by Bilquis won one gold three silver and 2 bronze medals.
While talking to EXCELSIOR, Bilquis said that she is hopeful of good show of Indian team at the National scene, adding that she also believes that JK paddlers will represent India in the forthcoming Asian Championship.
