Bindu appointed as Int’l arbitrator for Chess

JAMMU, Aug 27: Bindu Pathania, Chess Coach of Heritage School has earned the distinction of being appointed as the first female International Arbitrator for Chess from J&K.
She was appointed as the arbitrator for 44th Chess Olympiad organized by All India Chess Federation (AICF) of India at Chennai from 23rd July to 9th August 2022, wherein 185 countries participated. Amongst 200 arbitrators appointed from world over she was the one and only coach invited from J&K.
In past years, Bindu has represented J&K at the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and International Arbitrator (IA) tournaments; and being appointed as the first IA from J&K she has brought laurels not only to UT of J&K but also to Heritage School. The Principal and the staff wished her all the very best for her future endeavours.
