POONCH, June 9: Taking an initiative to ensure the presence and regularity of students, Government Model Higher Secondary School, Sawjian, near the LoC in Mandi area of district Poonch has installed biometric machine for attendance of the students and the staff members.
Official sources said that 275 students of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th classes are studying here in the school near the Line of Control and all of them do biometric attendance on arrival and on departure as well.
Principal of the School, Anwar Khan said that as India is heading towards digital system and even our PM always talks of the digital India, carrying this mission forward to ensure the presence and regularity of students we have installed biometric machine for the attendance of students and made it functional. It has become the first school in the district with biometric attendance of students, he added.
