Birth anniversary of Chander Shekhar Azad celebrated

JAMMU, July 24: Activists of National Secular Forum (NSF), Jammu Unit organized a programme at Jammu University to celebrate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter, Chander Shekhar Azad, who laid his life for the country.
Amid pro-Chander Shekhar Azad slogans NSF activists paid rich tribute to the freedom fighter and garlanded his portrait.
Dr. Vikas Sharma, zonal NC secretary was chief guest while Dr. Sukhdev Singh, State president NSF presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vikas Sharma said that Azad was considered as one of the most famous revolutionaries of independence movement.
He claimed that people have suffered a lot during the last three years especially after the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of J&K.
Dr. Sukhdev Singh said that real tributes to the martyrs would be eradicating evils prevailing in the society like drug addiction, dowry etc.
Vikshay Vashist, district president delivered welcome address while Sumit Giri delivered vote of thanks.
