Birth anniversary of Monglishwar Bairav Maharaj celebrated with religious fervour

JAMMU, Apr 30: Birth anniversary celebration of Sri Monglishwar Bairav Maharaj was celebrated religious fervour and gaiety today.
In this connection a grand function was organized at Geeta Bhawan Muthi by Sri Monglishwar Asthapan Prabhandak Committee Sirnoo Monghama, in Pulwama district of South Kashmir. The function was attended by people from all walks of life who paid their obeisance to Monglishwar Bairav.
The function started with birthday Pooja to Bairav which was followed by Aarti and other religious rituals by hundreds of Bairav Bakths as per the local tradition. On this occasion, Omkar Ji Bhat mesmerized the devotees by singing few of his melodious bhajans. A staunch religious follower Amar Nath Raina highlighted the procedure of learning and following religious Panchang. In a lucid manner he made everyone to understand the enunciation of dates such as “Purav’’, “Devadev’’ and “Triha’’.
Political activist and member of the SMAPC, Sunil Bhat threw light on the emerging need for the community children to pursue a variety of educational modules. He emphasized upon a fact to evolve a balance in the community’s human resource base by making young Pandit students to pursue their careers in the fields of law, art, languages, anthropology, history, political science, international studies, philosophy, economics, sports or civil services.
He also urged the self reliant families in the community to take lead in this direction by inspiring their children to take to these fields.
Later the devotees were served with Prasad. The entire programme was also telecast.
