JAMMU, Feb 13: Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) has organised a writing competition in Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar- Jammu. Rhythm Basson, Urmi Suri and Karan Rana along with Principal Rameshwar Mengi were among the guests on the occasion.
The resource person of BIS motivated students before the start of competition. All 51 participating students were full of zeal and enthusiasm. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their talent by articulating their thoughts about the given topic of ‘Packaged Drinking Water’.
The cash prizes were also awarded to the top three students and consolation prizes to others. The BIS worked tirelessly to ensure that products and services were of the highest quality benchmarks to safeguard interest of consumers and also to promote a culture of excellence. The results were Ikjot Singh (11th) stood first; Arpita Chib (11th) came second, third place went to Anantika (11th) and consolation prize was given to Tina of Class 10th.
