NOWSHERA, Apr 7: Chief Spokesperson Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) and Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ravinder Sharma has said that BJP always marred the interests of Jammu region for their vested political interests and garnered the support by pitting one region against the other.
Addressing a series of meetings in different parts of Sunderbani-Nowshera, Mr Sharma asked the people to re-elect Madan Lal Sharma from Jammu-Poonch Constituency.
He said that people know as how the BJP’s MLAs who were expelled on allegations of cross voting have been accepted by the party again, adding that for securing votes at the time of election their slogans are different than that of their deeds.
Mr Sharma said that the strengthening of Congress means strengthening the approach to equitable development in all three regions of the State and justice to all parts of the State, adding that the parties which indulge in exploitation in the name of religion, region, caste and creed are harmful for the overall interests of the State and the Nation, bringing disunity in the society and secular fabric of pluralistic society.
“The UPA Government at the centre has brought tremendous development and extended all sorts of help by liberal funding to the State,” Mr Sharma expressed.
He appealed the people to vote and ensure the victory of Congress-NC coalition candidate, Madan Lal Sharma.
Mr Sharma was accompanied by Block Presidents, Sarpanchs and Panchs of the areas during his hectic election campaign.
