BJP announces Rs 5 lakh compensation each for 2 Uri martyrs from Jammu

UDHAMPUR, Sept 29: To silent the opponents who had raised a hue and cry that the BJP has neglected the Uri martyrs from the State, it today announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs five lakh for each martyr family from the Jammu region out of its party fund.
The announcement in this regard was made at Party’s working Committee meeting here  by BJP State president, Sat Sharma (CA) in his presidential address during the meeting. He also briefed the party men about the strikes of Indian Army on terrorist camps in PoK and said that these terrorists were waiting across the border to cross into Indian territory and inflict damage and destruction on this side of the LoC.
Sharma also gave a brief about the various welfare schemes launched by the Party. He spoke on various welfare schemes launched by Modi Government and State’s Coalition Government.
Addressing the meeting Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh termed the attack on terrorist camps across LoC as the need of the hour. He said Pakistan has been totally isolated at international level as India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan in UNO also. Even in SAARC Pakistan has been isolated as many countries sided with India and remaining countries also did not support Pakistan, he added.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the surgical attacks on terrorist launching pads will not only send a very strong message to Pakistan, the perpetrator of terrorism, but also the separatists and the sympathizers of terrorists. He said that the present Government at the Centre is very clear that India will not tolerate any such activity which poses threat to the unity and integrity of the country or cause loss of lives of soldiers and innocent civilians. Dr. Singh, also spoke in details about the life and philosophy of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay.
The meeting expressed its sympathies with the families of Uri martyrs.

Avinash Rai Khanna, while addressing the meeting, stressed upon Ministers and legislators to prepare their report card as the same will be helpful in mobilizing the public in favour of the party by making them aware about various initiatives undertaken by the elected representatives. He said that they must get acquainted with the accurate information regarding various schemes and projects of the Government at the Centre as well as in the State and ensure that the same are implemented in letter and spirit.
BJP State general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul sought details related to political and organizational activities from district and Morcha presidents besides discussing the working of various departments and projects.
A political resolution was moved by Ram Nagar MLA R.S. Pathania and seconded by BJP State chief spokesperson, which was adopted with certain amendments and suggestions.
The one day meeting was attended by over 250 delegates, including State office bearers, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, District and Morcha presidents from all the three regions of the State.
