BJP conducts review meeting for “Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan” at Rajouri

RAJOURI, May 3: BJP conducted a review meeting regarding the programmes being organized in conjunction with “Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan” at Rajouri. The meeting held at Dak Bungalow, Rajouri was presided over by BJP State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul. The meeting was also attended by BJP State vice-president, Parmod Kapahi, Chairman Pahari Speaking Board, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, MLC,  Vibhodh Gupta, S. Varinderjit Singh and other senior leaders.
The meeting held detailed discussions on the organization of various programmes under the “Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan” and ensuring the achievement of true target which was kept in mind while starting the mission.
While addressing the meeting, Ashok Kaul briefed about the motive of starting this initiative at the mass level by the present Central Government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He prompted all the senior leaders present in the meeting to collect and verify about the organization of various programmes under the scheme. He said that the BJP is working with a mission to empower the villages as India resides in villages, and, village empowerment will ensure true progress of the nation.
Kaul also took the opportunity to inquire about the progress of various Centrally sponsored along with the State Government sponsored schemes for upgrading the infrastructure and other facilities in the villages in and around Rajouri. He also laid emphasis on the campaign of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Gaon, Sabka Vikas” for achieving the mission.
Kuldeep Raj Gupta, spoke about the various steps taken by the present dispensation for the Pahari speaking people living in the remote villages of the belt. He also raised many of the demands of the local people in front of senior State leadership for the welfare of the masses.
Vibodh Gupta also enumerated various schemes particularly implemented for the welfare of the residents of the area during the tenure of present Government. He claimed that no such pace of development activities was witnessed during so many decades.
Meanwhile, the work for the laying down of concrete slab of BJP district Office Rajouri was also initiated before the meeting.
BJP State additional office secretary, Rajinder Gupta, district president, Rajouri Dinesh Sharma, Dev Raj Sharma, Atam Parkash, Anju Khullar, Ranjeet Tara, Sanjay Kumar, Abdul Ghani Shawl and others were among the prominent persons present in the meeting.
