JAMMU, Jan 25: BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (CA) alongwith Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, party MLAs and local leaders addressed constituency level “Vikas Sushasan Sankalp Rally” at Akhnoor. It was organized by BJP Akhnoor district President Manmohan Singh.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the gathering, said that the liberal funding from Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre will usher an era of development and bring progress and prosperity in the lives of the people, who had been feeling betrayed and neglected by the successive Governments at the Centre and in State. He said that huge package of Rs. 80,000 crore will benefit refugees, migrants, provide better road connectivity besides helping the people who suffered damages during 2014 floods. He added that the people of Akhnoor constituency were fed up with the false promises of the previous MLAs and hence voted BJP as they were convinced that it would work in real terms for them.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the entire Akhnoor belt and border people, farmers, youth, all are getting due share in matters related to development and welfare. “Schemes for pension, bank loans and for economic upliftment of the people are hallmark of Modi Government”, he said and added that the benefits of Centrally sponsored schemes are extended to the deserving people of Akhnoor.
Kissan Board Vice-Chairman Daljeet Singh, spoke on various works being undertaken by Kissan Board exclusively for the betterment of farming community.
MLA Rajeev Sharma, presented details related to the development works undertaken in Akhnoor and assured that every efforts will be made to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
MLA Sukhnandan Kumar highlighted the achievements of PHE, Irrigation departments which were headed by him as Minister.
MLA Priya Sethi Spoke on various initiatives taken to bring reforms in Education Department during the previous coalition Government.
The gathering was also addressed by MLA Krishan Lal Bhagat, district Prabhari Bansi Lal Bharti, district President Manmohan Singh, Mandal Presidents Sobha Ram and Ram Lal, Kissan Morcha leader Jagdish Bhagat, Radhey Sharma and Sarpanchs and Panchs of surrounding areas.
