UDHAMPUR, Oct 13: BJP Kissan Morcha JK UT president, Omi Khajuria visited various villages in Udhampur and Reasi district during their two days tour and held various meetings of the farmers to apprise them about the benefits of Farm Bills.
In Udhampur the meetings were held in the village Majalta, Kathil, Savallata, Janshal, Bernada, Sampred, Dhamma, Bernada’s Dora by Morcha leaders.
During the meetings BJP leaders also performed worship of tractors at various places. Omi Khajuria while addressing the gatherings said the Bills will create a system under which the farmers can sell their produce outside the Mandis also. Further it will encourage intra-State trade.
The farmers’ complimented the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and said that this was their old demand which has now been fulfilled.
Besides, Omi Khajuria , JK UT Kissan Morcha general secretary, Raman Singh , Morcha secretary, Omkar Singh and Vijay Sharma.
Its district president, Bishan Dass, Capt (retd) , Gopal Singh, block president, Mast Ram and many others were present.
At Reasi the Morcha held meetings at Aranas, Judda, Savalkot, Kanthan, Salal, Khanikot, Tran, Jhalbal, Gaddi, Chanka, Dharmaal and apprised the farmers about the benefits of Farm Bills.
Khajuria , while highlighting the benefits of the new legislation said there will be no change in Minimum Support Price (MSP) and farmers will continue to get all benefits besides they can sell their produce in any Mandi in the country where they will get higher price.
Omi Khajuria further said that the Bills would transform the agriculture sector. It would also raise the farmers’ income. Further the Government has also promised double farmers’ income by 2022 and the farm bills is a step in that direction, he added.
State general secretary KM, Raman Singh, State Executive members Kuldeep Kumar Dubey, State media secretary, Vijay Sharma, district president Chain Singh, block president, Sanjay Kumar, general secretary, Balwan Singh, Rajinder Sharma, BJYM block president Kuldeep Sharma, Talib Hussan, ST Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Veena Devi, district president, SC Morcha, Sarpanch Samail and others were present.
