UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: Rented accommodation of a BJP leader was completely gutted in fire incident at Ward number 4, Chenani, this afternoon.
Even though there was no loss of life, the house was completely gutted in the fire that broke out in the rented house of Babu Sansar Chand, BJP SC Morcha District Vice President.
On being informed by the locals, teams of Police Station Chenani and Fire Station Chenani rushed to the spot. The fire extinguishing team controlled blazes within one hour but by the time, fire had engulfed the entire house.
Exact cause of fire could not be ascertained while property worth over Rs 2-3 lakh was lost in the incident. The police have taken cognizance of the matter.
