Jammu, Sept 11:A meeting of Mahila Morcha was held today at party headquarter where measures to seek donations and help from each and every household at Mandal and Ward level in Jammu City were discussed for victims of flood in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting was chaired by State BJP general secretary Bali Bhagat and organized by the Mahila Morcha Wing under the leadership of senior BJP Mahila leader Suresh Jamwal, Mahila Morcha president Priya Sethi and State general secretary Mahila Morcha Anju Dogra.
Addressing the meeting, Bali Bhagat impressed upon the Morcha activists to concentrate and focus their attention on the female folk of the society. He said that ladies would be more forthcoming and munificent in contributing to this humane and sacred cause, being compassionate and fully comprehending the hardship and harrowing experience by the female of the flood victims.
Mahila Morcha State president Priya Sethi said that the Morcha activists will whole heartedly reach the public, the housewives and woman folks in particular seeking donations. She also outlined the duties of the Mandal presidents and other office bearers area wise and expressed hope that the Morcha activists would give glittering account of their capabilities in this behalf. She added that very active and prominent citizens especially the women are joining BJP and this reflects the goodwill of the party in the public and seeking donations would not be difficult.
Other prominent Morcha activists who attended the meeting included Meeru Anand, Sanjita Dogra, Sanjita Gupta, Kamla Gupta, Raj Rani Jamwal, Saroj Gupta, Puspha Bazir, Shakun Sethi, Swarn Arora, Manju Dogra, Mitu Rajput, Neelam Virdi, Padam Bakshi, Raj Honda, Sharda Devi, Sangita Anand and Kailash Chowdhary.
