JAMMU, Feb 12: A delegation of BJP MLAs led by leader of its Legislative Party, Ashok Khajuria called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and demanded enactment of Law on sealing to provide relief the people of Katra township who are on strike for last three days and others affected by High Court order.
The delegation demanded that the Bill be tabled in this regard as early as possible, Mr Khajuria and Balbir Ram Sharma told Excelsior later.
They said CM assured to table the Bill on March 24 for its passage and the same is being framed by Law Ministry at present. They said the CM appealed the BJP MLAs to pursue the people of holy township of Katra to call off their strike and resume the normal work.
The others BJP MLAs who were part of the delegation included party president and MLA Nagrota Jugal Kishore Sharma, Bharat Bushan, Prof Garu Ram, Durga Dass, Master Lal Chand, Choudhary Sham and Choudhary Sukhnandan.
