JAMMU, Jan 20: West Pakistani Hindu Refugee Front (WPHRF) leaders have claimed that BJP was only hope for the West Pak refugees.
In a meeting of the Front held at Gurah Brahmana, Patoli, Jammu, the members discussed various issues and grievances of West Pakistani Refugees (WPRs) and to gear up their struggle for the Permanent Residentship of the State and other reliefs, domicile certificate till they are considered as Permanent Residents and Reservations in Central Govt Jobs as a whole as well as for the residents within 6 Kms on IB.
Sub Major Madan Lal Dubgotra (Retd), Chairman of the Front presided over the meeting. He expressed the need of issuance of “Domicile Certificate” to WPRs by the State Govt to avail benefits of Central Sponsored Schemes. He said a delegation of WPHRF will meet the Divisional Commissioner in this connection shortly. He said cash relief of Rs 5.5 lakh to WPRs families is favourable step taken by the BJP Govt and refugees have high hopes from this Govt.
