LEH, May 6: The Leh unit of BJP today organized a grand rally titled “Jan Sampark Rally” here at Polo Ground with the concept to stay connected with people.
The main objective of the rally was to present report- card of the achievements of the LAHDC including Central and State sponsored development program.
The rally commenced in the form of a procession at Leh gate participated by a huge number of workers and supporter including village Nambardars, women association heads and all walks of people of Ladakhi Society.
The rally was chaired by Thupstan Chhewang, Member Parliament and graced by dignitaries and senior leaders of BJP including Ashok Koul, State general secretary (Organization), Chering Dorjey Lakrook, Minister for Ladakh Affairs & Cooperatives, Government of J&K, CEC, Dr Sonam Dawa Lonpo, District president, Tsewang Gonbo, vice presidents– Nazir and Ashraf besides Executive Councilors and Councilors.
Major schemes which are among priority of the BJP Leh’s achievement mentioned by the leaders during the rally were Changthang Development Project worth 650 crore, National power grid extension to all villages of Leh district, Pradan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, Deemed University status to CIBS Leh, Leh town beautification, JKPSC center at Leh, Ladakhi member in the JKPSC, Airport expansion, railway connectivity to Leh, etc.
Party Leaders reiterated to strive hard until Ladakh gets UT status with Legislature and appealed the people of Ladakh to once again unite to ensure timely realization of the major demand.
Member Parliament Ladakh expressed that the whole nation shows absolute faith in the leadership of both Narendra Modi and Amit Shah because only BJP has all the solutions for the major demands and issues of Ladakh and no one else.
Ashok Koul, while addressing to the public, announced that BJP is the largest political party in India with 11 crore membership and the party is in absolute majority/power in 18 states but this is not the climax yet, it is the beginning indeed.
