RAJOURI, Aug 18: In an impressive programme organized today here at Balidan Bhawan, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today paid tributes to martyrs of the nation by lighting 70 candles.
The programme was organized by Rajouri Urban Unit of BJP led by its president, Vishal Dutta, whereas MLC Vibodh Gupta was chief guest in the programme and many senior party leaders also took part in it.
The party enlightened 70 candles at Balidan Bhawan and paid tributes to all the martyrs of Rajouri who laid down their lives while fighting attack of rebellion forces in 1947, fighting militancy during past two decades and for those brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the service of Nation. A two minutes silence was also maintained in the memory of all the martyrs.
Addressing the programme, MLC Vibodh Gupta said that those martyrs who laid down their lives in the services of Nation and for our safe tomorrow will always remain alive in our heart.
While castigating Pakistan for triggering troubles in India, especially through militancy, MLC Vibodh Gupta said that the only issue of talks between India and Pakistan is Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
“Only PoJK will be the agenda of talks between India and Pakistan and our PM Narendra Modi has already cleared the air” Vibodh said.
State additional office secretary, Rajinder Gupta said that martyrs sacrificed their today for ours tomorrow and BJP has always paid tributes to these martyrs and will continue this.
District president, Dinesh Sharma and Rajouri Urban unit president, Vishal Dutta also stated that their units will keep organizing such events for remembering and paying tributes to the martyrs.
Prominent leaders of the party who accompanied MLC include Atam Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Naresh Bakshi, Vikas Dutta, Koushal Gupta, Sumit Sharma, Radish Sharma and others.
