BJP-PDP alliance proved all 3 regions can be pulled together: Nirmal

JAMMU, Jan 13: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh has said that PDP-BJP coalition Government’s 10 months rule has proved that all the three regions of the State can be pulled together towards an era of peace, prosperity and development.
He said that “our Government fulfilled the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi of ‘Sabka Saath Aur Sabka Vikas’ and good governance and it was for the first time in the 67 years old history of the State of Jammu and Kashmir that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were treated at par and corruption free governance was provided.
“Not even a single case of corruption by the Ministers/MLAs of the coalition Government was reported and the development initiatives including AIIMS, IIT, IIM,IIMC, Express highways etc. were launched in the State within a short span of ten months,” thundered Dr. Nirmal Singh today at a public meeting in Gangyal area here.
The meeting was organized by District Jammu unit of BJP led by its president Baldev Singh Billowria in the wake of Lohri & Makar Sakranti celebrations.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Ex-Minister of State Priya Sethi,  Yudhvir Sethi, Senior BJP leader, Joydeep Sharma, Vinay Gupta and Vikram Randhawa were prominent among others present.
While highlighting the achievements of the BJP-PDP coalition Government, Dr. Nirmal Singh said that during its short span in power, Government fast tracked the development projects and work on Multi-tier parking costing Rs. 26 Crore at Panjtirthi, Rs. 201 crore at general Bus Stand, Jammu, City Chowk, Jammu, Development of Suryaputri Tawi river on the pattern of Sabarmati river, Tawi Lake project were inaugurated and work has started on these projects. For the welfare of poor and common masses Rs. 250 crore Power bills amnesty scheme was launched which came as a common relief. He said that to root out the corruption from the body politic of the State, 63 corrupt, deadwood officials were given premature retirement which sent a clear message down the line that corruption would not be tolerated in the BJP-PDP coalition Government.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma highlighted the achievements and pro-poor initiatives of the Narendra Bhai Modi led NDA Government. He said that BJP is committed to root out corruption from the body politic of the Indian State. He said that National Food Security Act, LPG subsidy to the bank accounts, Atal Pension Yojana, Ladli Beti Yojana etc. are some of the major achievements of the BJP led NDA Government. he asked the people to take benefit of the pro-poor schemes launched by the Central Government.
Ex-Minister of State & MLA Priya Sethi listed the achievements of BJP-PDP coalition government especially in Education sector. She said that totally derailed Education Department was brought back on rails, corruption rooted out and peoples confidence in law of the land was restored. She said that for Central University of Jammu, people of Jammu region had to agitate for a year while AIIMS for Jammu was sanctioned within two months by the efforts of State BJP under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh. She asked the party workers to spread the message of BJP Governments achievements to the grassroot level.
Prominent BJP workers were also honoured on the occasion and presented shawls.
