BJP, PDP befooling people: Manjit

VIJAYPUR, Oct 4: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today criticized the BJP Government in Centre as well as in the State for befooling people with their false promises.
Addressing a meeting party worker at Vijaypur the JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh said that the BJP before elections promised on various issues that they will fulfill all the commitments.
However, their promises failed.
“Over a year has passed to the BJP led NDA in Centre with Narendra Modi as Prime Minister but they have failed to do justice with the people, who had high hopes from them. People are now aware of the false commitments made by the BJP regarding the settlement of refugees, regularization of daily waters, PHE workers, NYC workers and especially one-rank one pension.
The employees have been sitting on strike but the Government has turned blind eyes towards them and their sufferings. The daily wagers are living a difficult life in view of hiked prices of essential commodities. The Government has failed to work as per the aspiration of the people, he added.
The refugees have still hope on the Governments in Centre and in the State for the resolution of their pending issue of settlement. The Government cannot befool people for so long. They should not take people for granted and instead, fulfill their promises and regularize daily wagers, and settle the refugees permanently, Mr Singh maintained.
