BJP playing politics over floods in J&K: Cong

JAMMU, Nov 15: Congress general secretary and spokesperson Dr. Rashid Choudhary has said it is extremely unfortunate that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is playing politics over recently occurred floods in  Jammu and Kashmir, and added that  BJP should not try to exploit the people’s sentiment for gaining votes.
He said that, playing politics with natural calamity affected State is unfortunate but BJP has become habitual of these kinds of tactics to gain votes.
Expressing concern over playing politics by BJP on devastation caused by recent floods in the State Dr. Rashid, lambasted BJP  for ‘giving false statements at a press conference in Jammu.
“This is very unfortunate that BJP leaders have started playing politics on recent flood situation in the State.
The BJP went in hibernation during critical times faced by victims of flood fury in the state and now finding the situation improving, BJP leaders including Ram Madhava and Jitender Singh  have started playing dirty politics again. During the crucial days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked much and helped less but for the sake of vote politics BJP exploiting this human tragedy.
In spite of the repeated commitments by the Prime Minister no significant financial grant has been released to help  the victims of the natural calamity in the State. They have never fulfilled the promises in the past and also during the current few months of Modi Government.
He described the “Aarop Patra” released by BJP on floods as a document full of lies. He also questioned the timing of release of the document and added that if BJP leadership was so concerned about the people of the State, why they have not released the document earlier. Dr. Choudhary said that the timing of release of the document clearly shows that BJP is playing politics over a human tragedy.
