RAMNAGAR, Aug 17: As an offshoot of nation-wide programme of ‘Tiranga-Yatra’, Ramnagar Unit of Bhartiya Janata Party under the supervision of Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA, organized an impressive Tiranga Yatra in Ramnagar and Manwal towns today.
Hundreds of party workers lined up in serpentine rows and bee-lines, wearing party caps and holding National flags were brimming out with joy and renting deafening slogans – “Bharat-Mata Ki Jai”; Vande-Matram; Algavbaad Murdabad, Prajatantra Zindabad” – rocking the streets and bazaars of Ramnagar.
Shamsher Singh Manhas (MP, Rajya Sabha) led the Tiranga Yatra passing through various streets and bazaars of Ramnagar which had become virtual sea of party workers and public; culminated at Rani Park Ramnagar, where Mr Manhas delivered a scintillating speech on the very essence and purpose of taking out this Yatra which is being organized across the length and breadth of country.
He called upon the party workers to strengthen the spirit of nationalism, brotherhood and peace. Taking pot-shot at Congress and National Conference (NC) he said that both the parties have ruled over the State for nearly five decades but the State has witnessed least development under them. This apart nationalism, brotherhood and spirit of mutual co-existence have been major causalities of their regimes.
R S Pathania while addressing the gathering, complimented the party workers and public for coming out in large numbers and maintaining peace and mutual brotherhood during troubling times. He cautioned the anti-nationalist and divisive forces that they will not succeed in their nefarious designs and will be dealt strongly. He also complimented the public for strengthening the hands of nationalistic forces and not falling prey to divisive thoughts and ideologies. He further threw light on the various developmental schemes like Jan-Dhan Yojana, Beti-Bachao; Beti-Padao, Atal Pension Yojna, etc of Central Government led by Prime-Minister Narendra Modi which are slowly creating ripples across the lower strata of the society to bring about a phenomenal change in the country at a large.
He dwelt upon the major developmental initiatives taken by him in Ramnagar constituency -setting up of Degree College at Majalta, setting up of ITI at Ramnagar, 2×20 MVA grid at Ramnagar, resumption of work on Manwal, Battal-Hiranagar electricity line, work on Thial -Shri Mata Chountra Devi Ji road under CRF, sanctioning of 24 roads under PMGSY, setting up of Model Schools at Ramnagar and Majalta, augmenting of water supply in Ramnagar town, refurbishing and beautification of Natha Singh Park, Rani Park and Bindraban Parks in Ramnagar town, black topping of Samba-Battal road.
