JAMMU, Mar 3: BJP has decided to support independent candidate Shiban Krishan Dudha in the forthcoming election to Legislative Council, the votes for which will be cast on March 7.
Making this announcement today, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma said that a general consensus has emerged in the Party, including among the Party’s State Legislature Group of MLAs, to support the candidature of Shibban Krishan Dudha, who has filed his nomination papers as an independent candidate and is not affiliated to any political Party.
Sharma said that while taking this decision, the Party has also taken strong consideration of the fact that Dudha belongs to displaced Kashmiri Pandit community for the cause of which the BJP has constantly struggled and will continue to do so in future as well.
