BARAMULLA, May 10: Former Minister and Member AICC, Abdul Gani Vakil today criticized the dual standards of BJP. He said on the one hand BJP with hype has announced agenda of alliance with PDP which emphasizes upon settlement of Kashmir issue but on the other hand they negate in parliament by refusing talks with Hurriyat leaders.
Vakil said BJP should stop applying this dictatorial attitude and they should understand that it is only “Dialogue with all”, which includes Hurriyat also that can resolve all issues because dialogue is the only platform to move ahead to resolve all issues relating to Jammu and Kashmir amicably in accordance with the aspirations of the people of State.
He was addressing a party workers’ convention in Ferozpora, Nadihal in district Baramulla.
Vakil said, “By confrontation and violence nothing could be achieved. It will only add to the difficulties. We have already wasted more than 25 years in violence and militancy. The society has received heavy jolt on all fronts. Thousands of precious human lives have been consumed by the violence. The economy has received downward dip but some people still want to do politics on dead bodies”.
The former Minister said that BJP-PDP agenda of alliance has now become an agenda of deception for people of J&K. He said it is the duty of Chief Minister to clarify the policy of his Government towards resolution of Kashmir issue.
Besides others, who addressed the gathering include Haji Mohammad Afzal Khan, Ghulam Nabi Shah, Javed Ahmad Masoodi, Khwaja Nazir Ahmad Kaboo and Irshad Ahmad Irshad.
