BJP’s policies responsible for miseries of people: Manohar

BILLAWAR, Mar 10: Senior Congress leader and former MoS, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has alleged that BJP is responsible for the miseries of the people of the State.
Addressing a public meeting at village Tandary in Kandi block of Billawar constituency, Congress leader raised serious concern over the betrayal of BJP with people of Jammu. He alleged that  PDP-BJP Government has failed on all the fronts. The public of Kandi area of  Hiranagar sub-division constituency of Billawar as well as the Jammu is accusing present dispensation both in State and the Centre  for adopting  anti-people and anti-poor policies. The public   is suffering due to lack of basic day-to-day amenities like  un-interrupted power supply, portable water, non-availability essential commodities like ration, sugar and medical facilities and steep arise in the daily consumable commodities.
Dr Sharma said the public of the entire Jammu region has suffered due to the lack of governance in the last more than two years. Virtually all the ministers remained busy in transfer  and postings of their blue eyed persons and enjoying the comforts by making money out of these workings,  whereas, the people suffered for the want of basic amenities. He accused the BJP that it had surrendered the interests of the Jammuites for the sake of power and deceived the people who voted heavily in favour of the party during the last Assembly elections.
He said the failure of the Government exposed the real face  of BJP and its leadership before the public of the region. He said that BJP made tall claims and raised hollow slogans but after coming in power, it surrendered itself completely at the hands of PDP to enjoy power. He appealed all the Jammuites to unite and fight for common cause of the region.
He further  stated that it is a mockery with the youth that the youth already working and  engaged temporally/contractually for more seven years are struggling for their regularization but the government is not responding to their demands.
