JAMMU, May 28: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Corporator Sharda kumari today kick started blacktopping work at Sheikh Nagar in Ward Number 47.
Speaking on the occasion, the Corporator said the blacktopping work being executed by the Public Works Department. AEE, JE and contractor of the concerned Department were also present on the occasion. Prominent locals including Dalveer Singh, district secretary Vivek Patyal, Surinder Kumar, Rinku Sagotra were also present.
Later, Sharda Kumari along with AEE and JE also visited Ward-47 and its surrounding localities where she met with the locals, who put forth various issues of public importance such as construction/renovation of pending lanes and drains, blacktopping of the main roads as well as interior lanes, etc. The Corporator assured them that all their genuine demands be redressed in a time-bound manner.
She informed locals that development work going on at Sheikh Nagar is in 3rd phase and will be completed soon.
